How it Works
Using mobile GIS data collection tablets, field personnel can gather data such as
perimeter information, damage assessments or digital pictures and upload the data
to RTIS. Upon the arrival of new data, several maps are generated automatically
based on the type and location of the incident. Typical maps consist of Topographic,
Population Density and Critical Infrastructure data.
These maps are available seconds after data is uploaded from the field. Additionally,
they can be
automatically printed at remote locations, such
as Incident Command Posts, Dispatch Centers, and Public Information Outlets.
