While photogrammetrists have long used stereo imagery to produce surface models from aerial imagery,
recent advances in Fireball's technology represent a major
leap forward in overall surface quality and detail.
These capabilities include processing large photogrammetric datasets into three dimensional, high
resolution terrain surface models.

sensor as part of Operation Ice Bridge, 2010.
